The very narrow aisle (VNA) forklift operator training courses we will recommend for your team are designed to enable your company to comply with current health & safety legislation.

They follow the RTITB’s recommendations for course content and duration, ensuring we work to the highest standards, providing your staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate the equipment you have on site correctly, safely and legally to the benefit of your business.

Refresher Courses – 1 day course for up to 3 candidates

This course is suitable for those candidates who have received formal training, testing and certification previously and require re-assessment

Novice Operator Training Courses – 3 – 5 day courses

These courses are suitable for those candidates who little or no operating experience on the forklift truck

Experienced Operator Training Courses 2 – 3 day courses

These courses are suitable for those candidates who have operating experience on the forklift truck or are regular users and require formal training, testing and certification

Conversion Training Courses 1 – 2 day courses

These courses are suitable for those candidates who have been trained, tested and certificated on one truck type and require the same on another truck type (eg counterbalance flt trained and requires reach truck training)

Course Overview

The subjects covered in our training courses include:

The operation of the hydraulic controls, weight assessment and lift truck stability, handling unladen pallets and laden loads, stacking/de-stacking procedures, driving on/off ramps and inclines, road vehicle loading/unloading procedures, lift truck pre-use checks and refueling procedures.

Each course concludes with 3 tests : practical test of basic operating skills, practical test of ability to carry out a lift truck pre-use check and associated knowledge test.

CERTIFICATION

As an accredited training provider, we offer two levels of certification for your staff:

RTITB Accredited Certification & Photo ID Card Accredited certification enables your staff to operate the equipment trained on with permission anywhere in the UK; their name and details are kept on a national operator’s registration scheme database (NORS) for 3 years.
Non-accredited (in-house) Certification allows candidates to operate at your company premises only.

Whichever certificate option you decide is best for your company, your operators will receive identical training.
